IOTKAM builds the software layer as well as the hardware. DEMS and DEMS PRO manage the recordings your cameras produce — from a single workstation to a central server — and CMSV9 is the visual command platform for live video, positioning and intercom.
What software does IOTKAM provide?
Three products, covering the whole workflow after recording. DEMS is a standalone digital evidence management application for a single workstation. DEMS PRO is the server edition of the same software — a browser console on your own server, with case management, departments, roles and remote firmware updates. CMSV9 is a visual command platform for live operations: real-time video streaming, positioning, voice intercom and electronic fence over 4G/5G.

Digital Evidence Management Software
DEMS — standalone edition
DEMS is the standalone edition of our digital evidence management software. Connect a camera to the workstation and everything recorded on it is downloaded automatically — and removed from the camera once the transfer completes. Files land in a managed library where they can be reviewed, tagged and kept under a retention policy you define.
Runs on a Windows PC; MySQL is used for the local database.
What it covers
- Automatic offload and wipe — recordings are downloaded from the camera to local storage, then deleted from the camera when the transfer completes.
- Up to 24 cameras at once — multiple cameras can upload simultaneously through a docking station or USB hub.
- Filed under the right user — tree-structure user management; files are filed under the software user who is logged in when the camera is connected.
- Case numbers, comments and important tags — annotate recordings so they can be reviewed and handed over with context.
- Export, clip and redact — review files inside the software and prepare them for disclosure without extra tools.
- Automatic AES decryption — encrypted recordings are decrypted with the key set for that camera.
- Search — locate a file by device user, user ID, device ID, case number or upload date.
- Audit trail — every operation is recorded and can be exported as a CSV report.
- RFID camera assignment — works with an optional RFID reader/writer and IC cards to assign cameras.
- Housekeeping — file retention period, low disk space warning and automatic date/time synchronisation with the PC.
Digital Evidence Management Software — server edition
DEMS PRO
DEMS PRO is the server edition of the same evidence management software, for organisations whose cameras, officers and reviewers are not all in one room. It has two parts: DEMSAgent, the workstation client that offloads cameras, and a web console running on your server — so recordings from different locations collect in one place.
Runs on Windows Server (2012 or later recommended, 8 GB RAM) with MySQL and a Tomcat-based web service. Up to 20 cameras can offload simultaneously per agent workstation.
What it adds on top of DEMS
- One central evidence library — agent workstations upload to the server over your intranet or the internet; all data is held on the server, not on individual PCs.
- Web console in the browser — dashboard, file and case management, configuration and system tools, reachable from any computer on the network by IP address or domain.
- Case management — create cases with case codes and regions, and bind the related files to them.
- File level and visibility — mark files as important or normal, control who can see them, add remarks, download or export the file list to Excel.
- Departments, roles and permissions — administrator, supervisor and user levels with per-user permission control; user lists can be imported from Excel.
- Multi-site architecture — agents behave like branches reporting to one headquarter server, with regions and departments mirroring your organisation.
- Remote firmware update — upload firmware to the server and push it to selected cameras over the network.
- Resilient storage — multiple storage directories with automatic failover when one fills, plus scheduled upload windows and storage status on the dashboard.
- Audit and records — operation records filterable by type and date and exportable to Excel, per-file operation logs, and repair reports per camera.
- Email integration — SMTP sender for account verification codes and password recovery.
Visual command platform
CMSV9 — VMS
CMSV9 is the live-operations layer of the range: a command platform built for body worn cameras. Devices with 4G/5G connectivity upload live video, audio and location data to the platform over the mobile network — so a control room can watch what is happening, talk to the field and see where every unit is.
Deployed on your own server or in the cloud, across public networks, VPNs, private networks and intranets. Accessed through a web client, a Windows PC client and iOS/Android apps. Requires Windows Server.
What it covers
- Live video streaming — preview units in 1, 4, 6, 8, 9 or 16-window layouts, with main/sub-stream selection and modes that prioritise either latency or smoothness.
- Real-time positioning — unit locations on a map as devices report; map options include Google Maps and Bing Maps.
- Track playback — replay the route a unit took, with position, network status and alarms at each point in time.
- Voice and group intercom — point-to-point intercom plus cluster/group intercom, with temporary groups and speaking priority by member level.
- Electronic fence — define areas on the platform and get an alarm when a unit enters or leaves.
- Alarm handling and linkage — view and process alarms; trigger recording on alarm; alert operators by sound, pop-up window, SMS or email.
- Video playback and download — play back recordings from the device, the storage server or the download server; download to local or server storage.
- Wi-Fi auto-download — when a camera enters a configured Wi-Fi site, its recordings back up to the server automatically.
- Visualised dashboard — a large-screen view of alarm statistics, real-time alarms and unit positions for the control room.
- Management and reporting — officers, users, roles, departments, devices and dispatch terminals, with online/offline, alarm, fence, dispatch and user behaviour reports.
